E/R: MAJORITY CHIEF WHIP LEADS PEACE WALK IN NSAWAM

A massive "Peace Walk" organized by sympathizers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern Region, shook the town on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.

The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, with thousands of party members and various party executives, including regional, constituency, and polling station officials in attendance.

Led by their Member of Parliament, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, who also serves as the Majority Chief Whip of the 8th Parliament of Ghana, the NPP supporters flooded the streets of Nsawam in a show of unity and solidarity.

The walk aimed to bring party members together following the recently concluded parliamentary primaries and to promote physical fitness and good health ahead of the December 2024 elections.

Frank Annoh-Dompreh emerged victorious in the parliamentary primaries, securing a total of 738 votes, while his opponent, Hayford Siaw, the CEO of the Ghana Library Authority, gathered 228 votes.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd of youth after the walk, Annoh-Dompreh emphasized the significance of the upcoming elections and the party's determination to increase its votes for the NPP's flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He cautioned against the re-election of John Dramani Mahama as President of Ghana, stating, "The NDC is very wild this time. We don't have any fight with them, and neither do we have a fight with John Mahama. He has held multiple positions in Ghana, so why does Ghana belong to his father? You have done your part; step down."

Annoh-Dompreh also highlighted the NPP government's commitment to development in the constituency, pointing out the visible projects undertaken by his outfit.

He expressed confidence that the constituents would consider and strongly support the NPP in the upcoming elections.

As the Majority Chief Whip, Annoh-Dompreh pledged to consolidate the NPP's influence in the area, making it a stronghold for the party in future elections.
